Andrew C. Desautel

Probate Attorney

Andrew’s journey to law began early, shaped by his upbringing as the son of an Air Force officer. Raised on military bases across the U.S., Andrew spent much of his childhood in North Dakota before attending high school in Dayton, Ohio. With extended family in Wyoming and Colorado, Wyoming became his sense of “home” amid a life of frequent relocations. The values instilled by his military family—service, duty, and commitment—became integral to his personal and professional identity.

After completing his undergraduate degree in Accounting at the University of Wyoming in 1998, Andrew pursued his legal education at the University of Dayton School of Law, graduating in 2001. Upon completing his studies, he moved to Atlanta, where he has practiced law for over two decades. His professional path reflects a dedication to serving others, with his career rooted in probate law, a field that allows him to assist families during some of their most challenging times.

Andrew chose probate law because of its unique combination of legal complexity and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients’ lives. His experience spans a broad range of legal issues, but he finds deep satisfaction in helping clients navigate the emotionally and legally difficult terrain of probate.

The most rewarding part of my practice,” Andrew reflects, “is helping families achieve outcomes they wouldn’t be able to on their own, especially when they are dealing with the loss of a loved one.”

He takes pride in providing clarity, support, and expert guidance during these critical moments.

Committed to delivering top-tier legal service, Andrew values clear communication and client trust. He believes that legal professionals should serve as guides, ensuring clients are informed and involved throughout the process. His approach is centered on fostering that trust and assuring clients that their matters are being handled with care and professionalism.

Outside of his legal practice, Andrew is an avid sports fan, regularly following the Falcons and Braves. He also enjoys playing recreational ice hockey and spending quality time with his family and their four dogs. When not working or on the ice, Andrew can often be found cooking, traveling, or relaxing with his loved ones on the weekends.
